141. Hernan¹³ Martín Serrano (Hernan¹⁴)⁽³⁵¹⁾ was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, ca 1558.⁽³⁵²⁾ Hernan died aft 1626 in New Mexico, at age unknown.⁽³⁵³⁾

He married Juana Rodriguez in Mexico. "Hernán Martín Serrano came with the original Oñate colony of 1598. He was then 40 years old, the son of Hernán Martín Serrano and a native of Zacatecas, tall of stature, sparse bearded and pockmarked. He is designated in the 1597 muster-roll as the Sargento of the Expedition. His wife, Juana Rodríguez, and family are with him; he has cattle, horses, utensils and even a millstone. In 1626, Captain Hernán Martín Serrano, seventy years of age, was considered an ancient settler and resident of Santa Fe. He had two sons, Hernán II and Luis. María Martín, first wife of Alonzo Martín Barba, was very likely his daughter."⁽³⁵⁴⁾

Hernan Martín Serrano and Juana Rodriguez had the following children:

143 iii. Hernan Martín Serrano II⁽³⁵⁶⁾ was born in New Mexico, ca 1604.⁽³⁵⁷⁾ Hernan died aft 1681 in New Mexico, at age unknown.⁽³⁵⁸⁾
